Barry K. Douglas, MD, FACS
A member of the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group since 1991, Dr. Douglas’ expertise includes aesthetic breast surgery and breast reconstruction. He has an extensive art background, and still enjoys painting, drawing, playing the piano and the organ. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Trinity College, Connecticut, he majored in Studio Art and Physics before obtaining his MD degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University, North Carolina. After his internship, he completed his general surgery, microvascular surgery and plastic surgery residencies at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he then became Chief Resident. Later, Dr. Douglas completed a fellowship in pediatric plastic & maxillofacial surgery at Children’s Hospital of Akron with the Northeastern Ohio School of Medicine.
